產(chǎn)品經(jīng)理的56個(gè)特征

網(wǎng)上看到一篇很有意思的說(shuō)產(chǎn)品經(jīng)理的文章,轉(zhuǎn)一下,意譯一下幾條有感覺(jué)的。Word拷過(guò)來(lái)編號(hào)有些問(wèn)題,不太影響閱讀就不改了哈。
- You’ve created a roadmap through?2015
給自己做了一個(gè)直到2015年的路標(biāo)規(guī)劃。
還真的有,雖然不夠細(xì)致,但居然更長(zhǎng)……
- You can’t remember working less than?70?hours a week
如果加上非公司的事情,確實(shí)>70h,不過(guò)我覺(jué)得做自己的產(chǎn)品不算“工作”吧。
- You’ve lost your hair (if you haven’t consider yourself warned!)
有一點(diǎn)點(diǎn),誰(shuí)沒(méi)有啊。
- At your annual customer summit, you stay late to setup and test products for the next day while Sales runs up a?historic?bar tab
- You used to be a programmer but were too?extroverted

5&6,你作為工程師來(lái)說(shuō)太外向了,而作為銷售來(lái)說(shuō)太內(nèi)向了。
非常贊同,雖然沒(méi)做過(guò),但是和相應(yīng)的人交流的時(shí)候,明顯是這樣的。

你用用戶調(diào)研的方法與家人交流,試圖挖掘出問(wèn)題的根本原因,從而用需求分析的方法推出解決方案。
我想,會(huì)的,而且還不僅僅是用戶調(diào)研的方法,狂汗。
- You wake up at night?worried?about getting your product’s feature-set right or hitting your ship date
- You find competitive and win-loss analysis?fun
- You walk through the store and look at products thinking “what?problem?does that solve?”
你在路上走,看到商店櫥窗里的產(chǎn)品,總是會(huì)想“這個(gè)東東是解決什么需求的?”。
哈哈,“手里拿著錘子,看什么都是釘子”。K歌的時(shí)候,對(duì)于包廂、點(diǎn)歌面板,都會(huì)評(píng)頭論足,超級(jí)無(wú)聊。
- You do a?SWOT?analysis before making any major purchase
你做任何重要決定的時(shí)候,都會(huì)做SWOT分析。
心里做,還沒(méi)到畫出來(lái)的地步。
- The?last?thing you do before you go to bed and the?first?thing you do when you wake up is to check your email
- You’ve ever written “The System Shall…”
- You never have?less?than five #1 priorities
- You’ve sat?behind?the one-way mirror at a focus group
你組織過(guò)焦點(diǎn)小組,坐在單面鏡子后。
很想玩一次啊,公司沒(méi)這個(gè)條件。

20&21&22,你很想知道iPhone的產(chǎn)品經(jīng)理是怎么給iPhone的功能排優(yōu)先級(jí)的;很想知道常用的互聯(lián)網(wǎng)應(yīng)用里每個(gè)新功能都花費(fèi)了多少工程師資源;很喜歡猜測(cè)手邊的任何產(chǎn)品即將出現(xiàn)的3個(gè)升級(jí)是什么。
上面3條,非常典型,呵呵。
- You think in Use Cases.
- You’re always looking for an alternative flow of events.
- You can’t live without OmniGraffle or Visio.
- You had to reset expectations with management, customers, engineering, and finance.
- You had to produce a WW product forecast for sales since they are too busy to do it.
- You enjoy watching “How It’s Made.”
你對(duì)描述事物背后邏輯的東東很感興趣。
嗯,對(duì)類似的東西很感興趣。
- You plan “features” for your children and have a “roadmap” for their skill growth
你會(huì)給自己的孩子計(jì)劃“功能點(diǎn)”,并且為其技能成長(zhǎng)制定路標(biāo)規(guī)劃。
非常囧的一條,但將來(lái)幾乎肯定會(huì)這樣。
- Your wedding included a powerpoint presentation.
你的婚禮上會(huì)有一個(gè)PPT演示。
必須的,可能之前還有一張mindmap、一個(gè)project文檔,一個(gè)feature list、還有……
- Major life events require a MS Project file.
- You get “phantom buzzing” in your pocket when you forget your Blackberry.
手機(jī)不在兜里的時(shí)候,你也會(huì)感覺(jué)到好像有電話來(lái)了(褲兜在震動(dòng))。
這是信息強(qiáng)迫癥的一種癥狀吧?還好沒(méi)有。
- You’ve talked to more customers in the last month than all of your executives combined.
- Your marketing person said “you’re technical…explain this to me like I was 10.” then, “…now like I was 3…”
市場(chǎng)的同學(xué)說(shuō)“你解釋產(chǎn)品不要太技術(shù)了,就當(dāng)我是個(gè)10歲的小孩”,你BlaBlaBla,他“……現(xiàn)在當(dāng)我是3歲的小孩……”
笑翻了,我這點(diǎn)做的應(yīng)該還不錯(cuò),本身就不是技術(shù)出家的。
- You know what all of these are: MRD, PRD, BRD, Functional Spec, sprint, scrum, CAB, spiff.
你知道這些名詞:MRD(市場(chǎng)需求文檔),PRD(產(chǎn)品需求文檔),BRD(商業(yè)需求文檔),F(xiàn)S(功能說(shuō)明),sprint/scrum(敏捷相關(guān)的詞兒),CAB,spiff。
CAB, spiff這2個(gè),查了還是不確定是啥意思,高手快跳出來(lái)~~~
- Your favorite question is “why?”
你總是問(wèn)“為什么?”
嗯,我就是“十萬(wàn)個(gè)為什么”。
- Your favorite application is Excel.
- You’ve built your own product P&L template in Excel to save time.
為了節(jié)省時(shí)間,你用Excel建立了自己的產(chǎn)品P&L模板。
P&L template是啥東西?不過(guò)我確實(shí)有很多自己的文檔模板,不僅僅是工作上的。
- You’ve used your P&L template across multiple companies.
- You know what the “analyst dance” is, and you’re definitely a PM if you’ve done it.
- You know what your customer is going to say before they say it.
- Your spouse knows who your 3 biggest competitors are by name.
- You’ve flown on every major (and some minor) airline this year.
- You’ve used?Twitter,?LinkedIn, or?Facebook?to connect with a customer.
- You’ve dreamt about competitive kill sheets.
你總是在想核心競(jìng)爭(zhēng)力的事情。
產(chǎn)品的?自己的?公司的?我都會(huì)想。

- You’re the one your CEO comes to when he/she really wants to know how things are going.
- “They” remembered your revenue commitment but not your product’s funding.
- Everyone thinks they do a part of your job.
- You’ve ever had to explain to a founder or executive why customers don’t want their great new idea.
- You’ve been asked for the revenue impact of deleting a single feature.
- You’ve been held accountable for Development’s schedule slips.
